Terms of Use
Last updated 5 August 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Pyrdo (“Pyrdo”, “we”) for use of the Pyrdo service. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not use the service.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your password to yourself.
- One person, one account. Sharing an account to get around plan limits is a breach of these terms.
- You must confirm your email address before you can send questions.
What Pyrdo is, and what it is not
Pyrdo generates answers using a language model. Generated answers can be wrong, incomplete, or confidently mistaken. Check anything that matters against your source material before you rely on it.
Pyrdo is a study aid. It is not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for your own work. Submitting Pyrdo’s output as your own may breach your institution’s academic-integrity rules. That is between you and your institution, and it is your responsibility, not ours.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything you write. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store your material, and to send it to our AI subprocessor to produce an answer for you.
You confirm that you have the right to upload what you upload. Do not upload material you do not own or have permission to use, and do not upload other people’s personal data.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Pyrdo to produce material that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or designed to harm someone.
- Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, or the credit system, including by automating requests or running multiple accounts.
- Scrape the service, resell access to it, or use it to build a competing product.
- Probe, scan or attack the service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is not serious, we will tell you first.
Plans and limits
| Plan | Questions | Document size |
|---|---|---|
| Free, first 7 days | 15 a day | 8,000 characters |
| Free, after that | 10 a day | 6,000 characters |
| Pyrdo Pro | A monthly allowance | 30,000 characters |
Free accounts are measured in questions a day. Pyrdo Pro is measured as a monthly usage allowance instead, because how much an answer costs to produce depends on how long it is and how large any attached document is. A short question uses a fraction of what a thousand-word essay does. The allowance covers at least 300 full essays, or more than 3,000 shorter questions, in every month. Think longer, which sends a question to a stronger model that works through every step, is not included in those figures: an answer produced that way uses roughly 3 times the allowance of an ordinary one, and a month spent entirely on deep answers will therefore yield fewer of them. The proportion you have used is shown on your account page at any time.
If you reach the monthly allowance, answers continue in a shorter form rather than stopping, until the allowance rolls forward. A separate short-term limit prevents an unusually heavy burst of requests within a few hours; ordinary study use does not reach it.
Stopping an answer part-way still uses part of the allowance, because the answer was generated. If generation fails on our side, it does not.
We may change these limits. If a change reduces what a paid plan provides, we will tell paying users before it takes effect.
Billing
- Pyrdo Pro is $9.99 a month, or $59.88 a year ($4.99 a month).
- Billing is handled by Polar. Their terms apply to the payment itself.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your account page; you keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for.
- We do not refund part-used periods except where the law requires it.
Availability
The service is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or withdraw features. We depend on third parties. If our AI subprocessor is down, Pyrdo cannot generate answers.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data, or for any academic, professional or financial outcome arising from your use of generated answers. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using Pyrdo and delete your account at any time. We may end the agreement on notice, or immediately if you materially breach these terms. Deleting your account removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email before they take effect, and the date at the top will change.
If something goes wrong
Email contact@pyrdo.com and we will try to sort it out. Almost everything is a misunderstanding, a bug, or a billing mix-up, and all three are quick to fix once someone tells us.
These terms do not try to take away any right you have where you live. If you are a consumer, your local consumer protections apply whatever this document says.
